The first FTC rocket has been pressure tested and the reslts are very encouraging. 150-160 psi burst pressure, next step reinforce with a bidirectional filamentous tape. Parachute deployment mechanism is also coming along and will likely employ a mechanical pressure sensor to trigger...

testing on the new rocket section assembly (george katz) is complete. The results were very encouraging with an avergage burst pressure of 185 psi.
4-H Launch

GCR had a sucessful launch last saturday at the Clark County 4-H. The launch was part of a day camp sponsored by Discovery Science Camp in cooperation with the 4-H and Purdue University. The weather was great and everything functioned perfectly.
